A Maui New Years

What a better way to send of 2011 than at the beaches of Maui! I spent the last week of the year with my family, and my boyfriend Hal. So with a grand total of 5 women and only 3 men, it was quite a change from our usual mostly female trips! My four sisters and I had a blast testing out the new A.Ché Cruise 2012 Collection!

My fiancé Hal has an amazing eye and affinity for photography so it was a real treat for everyone to have him capture all the breathtaking views of the island. His pictures continuously inspire me, so I had to share some of my favorites…

Maui 1

This rooster and chicken with her babies were so beautiful, the colors were vibrant and their feathers were incredibly intricate and detailed with tiny spots, lines, and ombrés… I’m definitely doing a feather inspired group for the next collection I’m working on, Cruise 2013. My family and I are an adventurous bunch so we did everything from horseback riding, scuba diving, paddle boarding and hiking to swim in waterfalls. I love being in the water!!

Above on the left I’m wearing the Bacara Bandeau top in Young Love with the Farrah bottom in Topaz, and in front of the waterfall I’m wearing the Jolie top & bottom in Monaco and my sister Chantelle is wearing the Farrah top & bottom in Onyx. Sorry but the guys aren’t in A.Ché yet, but they will be soon!!

On the left, I’m wearing the Farrah top in Into The Wild with the Farrah bottom in Peridot along with my sister Rachella who looks amazing in the Zella top and bottom in Sunglow (which rocks on olive skin btw). And on the right, it’s pina colada time – hello we’re in Maui!

Hal and I went into the deep sea to scuba dive and swim with the sea turtles and tropical fish! As a lover of water, I always cherish the time under the sea even though this was only my second dive ever. I need to get certified soon so I can dive freely with Hal on our honeymoon later this year.

This new year is going to be a big one for me personally and in business. A.Ché is growing more than ever thanks to all the fans of the line out there. So HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone, and let’s make this one the best one yet !

Debut in Miami Fashion Week !

Yes, how exciting it was to debut A.Ché Swim among the incredible swim designers who showcase in the annual Miami Fashion Week in Miami ! Every July, the swimwear world gathers in south beach to bask in the sun, attend industry parties, runway shows, and get a taste of what the beaches and poolsides of next year will look like.

 

We did a little backstage primping, and then I was joined by my 3 younger sisters, aka my inherited styling team, Chantelle, Felicia & Rachella! It was great to have them there for support, along with parents, my best friend Melinda, and my boyfriend Hal, all in from LA.

 

Melinda was so great, she helped my pr team run the entire show! Press was let in a few hours before the show and the interviews kept coming and coming and coming! It was such a blast and I loved talked about the things that inspired me for this year.

 

Star fashion blogger Dulce Candy joined me backstage after the show and had nothing but amazing things to say about the swimwear, she was such a sweet girl. My mom gave me the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers and then later that night, we all had a huge party with my PR team and I was given this cake! It was a night a will always remember as a day a dream came true. Runway Show
